Terra Novae is Moving To Blog In Tech!

We're finally moving.

This sure is the most extraordinary time in our lives. Who would've thought that we'd live to see a global pandemic taking place. With everything in the news today, I hope that everyone stays safe, healthy, and at your homes.

The first time I posted on this blog was a decade ago. At the time, it was just a school assignment about blogging, SEO, and the Internet. Then, after that, I realized that I am fond of writing, sort of. The posts were about everything at first, but as time goes, the focus narrows down to technology.

In 2016, Technoverse was born. I am Indonesian, and I thought it wasn't appropriate for me to write content only in English, so I took an initiative to write a blog in Indonesian, using Wordpress. I stayed away from Blogger because Blogger seemed to have been losing more and more popularity. Also, Wordpress is much more superior to Blogger when it comes to technology and customization. There are tons of themes and plugins to suit your needs. You can even turn Wordpress to a full-fledged e-commerce platform if you want.

Fast forward to 2019. I feel like no one is using Blogger any more. Sure, there was a design update in around 2017-2018, but it was still the same old Blogger. The design and the dashboard felt ancient compared to Wordpress. It's like Blogger is living on life support. Google has shut down many of its modern platforms now, and personally, I'm confused why Google is keeping Blogger around. Nevertheless, I've finally decided to migrate Terra Novae to Wordpress.

Introducing Blog In Tech. Successor to Terra Novae.

Enter, Blog In Tech. Though the site name is new, it will still contain the articles translated from Technoverse, but with a different design and technologies. With Wordpress, I can shape Blog In Tech to anything I want, down to the performance level, and that's a good thing. It's a very exciting side project.

This isn't goodbye, though. This blog will still be open and available, but new articles will no longer be posted here. Terra Novae isn't going away. It's moving on, to a better technology and platform.
