The Next Chapter in Second Voyage

The current chapter being worked on Project Apocalypse: The Second Voyage is the clash between the gods and their armies, with Prometheus and Helios. This chapter is going to be the one of three turning points for the gods and the humans to turn the table fighting against the mighty Titans.

The concept
The Mebians have laid siege on the Divine Kingdom's Capital City, and The Circle of Colossus is confronting them. Supplied with virtually limitless manpower from the Titan of Valor Prometheus and limitless energy source from the Titan of Sun Helios, the Mebians are slowly being led to a certain defeat. The gods are waiting for the defeat of the Mebians as the only means of firing down upon the Circle's soldiers.

The aim of this plan is to force Prometheus and Helios to come out of their human form, and let them run amok on The Sanctuary. The reason for this is Sol's studies which has uncovered that the Titans were actually 'huge machines' complete with accessible internals, allowing smaller forces to infiltrate, and destroy them from inside. The gods are going to use their elite Predator soldiers to infiltrate, along with the two important figures Lyner and Scar, aka Osiris to infiltrate and defeat the two Titans. Once the two have been eliminated, the Titans are going to suffer huge losses.

Ever played God of War II on PlayStation2? If yes, then you should still remember Atlas, the Titan whom Zeus forced to carry the world on his back. Kratos could walk inside him, in which we can assume him as a 'walking earth'. This inspired us to implement such a concept into Prometheus. His emergence is marked by huge seismic activity around the vicinity, with sharply-increasing energy and heat spike, and hills quickly formed all around.
In the center, is the highest volcano among all. The eruption of this center volcano is the coming of the mighty Titan. The craters then becomes the gateway for his claymen 'children' to walk the earth, spreading fear and chaos alike.

As for Helios, there's nothing much to say about him, since we plan on making him a minor Titan, but with HUGE strategic use. He's just an ordinary guy riding a bright, shining Chariot of Sun, which is the sun itself. He's not going to be that tough, and one Predator should be able to take him down (we'll see...). We haven't found a footage for Helios yet to take it as a concept art, but we'll update as soon as it's available.

iPad2 n iPhone4S Jailbreak is Live! [GUIDE]

Okay, so I've bought an iPad2 a few months ago. It's sleek, fast, and overall, I'm satisfied with it (although it's kind of limited... ._.). I was just trying to experience an iPad, so I bought a mediocre choice: 32GB Wi-Fi Only. But that's not the only reason... I've already got 3 3G devices. If I had bought another 3G device, my parents would slit my throat (not literally, though :p)

It's been a struggle for the dev teams to actually find out an exploit for a jailbreak. I still remember my first jailbreak, when it was @Comex who made it using jailbreakme.com. It's the easiest. Sadly, after the firmware 4.3.3, his exploit became useless. Worry not, since another hacker nicknamed pod2g, along with some friends who are popular in the jailbreaking field(p0sixninja, planetbeing, MuscleNerd,and pimskeks), they manage to create the jailbreak app for these A5 devices.

Since I don't have a Mac, I'll just explain the Windows version of this jailbreak. Before we start, here are the specs and OS of mine:
1. A notebook laptop sporting Windows7 Ultimate 32-bit.
2. An active internet connection.
3. iPad2 Wi-Fi 32GB, iOS5.0.1
4. Apple cable data (who am I kidding, you should've known this already...)
5. Make sure you've turned off the Passcode Lock or you'll stuck at jailbreaking ;)
6. Save your SHSH using TinyUmbrella before doing this or you'll never be able to downgrade once Apple releases iOS5.1 (Wi-Fi Only)

Those are what we need. Now, go to this link, and download the .zip file. This is your primary weapon for the jailbreak. The rest can be accomplished by the following procedure:

Once the download is finished, put it in the root of your C: folder. Don't worry, this won't break anything; just ease the need for the next step ;)
Open the Command Line, or type cmd.exe in the Start menu search box. I recommend running it as the Administrator.
Start navigating to the C:\ folder. Type cd C:\ and click enter.
In the next line, type the name of the folder. cd cinject_0.4.3 and click enter.
Type cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig and press enter. You should be prompted to install a profile called 'jailbreak'. Let it install, and when it asks you for a password, just leave it be and press "Next".
Type cinject.exe -j payloads and hit enter. If you encounter any problem during this process, I advise you to restore your iPad2 to its original settings. Reset can either be done in Settings or through iTunes. DON'T RESTORE YOUR BACKUP (for now :p). Afterwards, repeat from step 3.
When the Command Prompt window is stuck, head to the Settings from your iPad and toggle the VPN section. Let it get error, and the Command Prompt should do its job. When your iPad restarts, it means you're done. Yay! =D

Okay, afterwards, you can start adding repo and install tweaks from Cydia.

Oceanus, The Chivalrous Titan

Okay, Project Apocalypse: Second Voyage has reached its mid-phase of development. During this phase, I create another titan that would get in the main characters’ way in retrieving Jenova, the key to end whatever madness the main protagonist Ouranos is planning. However, another of Ouranos’ Titan soldier, Oceanus, is getting in their way. In this post, I would like to make an introduction of who Oceanus is. Unfortunately, I can’t provide the actual artwork of him…

I’ve planned to make the new Titan with the following descriptions:

A humanoid body with navy blue skin, just like in James Cameron’s Avatar. Muscular figure, considerable height, and ears which looks like those of sea serpents: Four to five needles with a thin cream-colored membrane between two needles. Oh, and don’t forget about a necklace he’s wearing. I plan to make him represent the figure of an ideal surfer.
Unlike common warriors who carry their arsenals conventionally, Oceanus merely spawns his arsenal in just a blink of the eye. His favorite is either bow-and-arrow, or a sword/spear with a virtually-unbreakable shield made of finely-refined onyx mineral.
If he’s in a pinch, he could summon water to either attack, or heal him (His primary element is water, of course… so the fact that water heals him isn’t that strange, right?). There’s a scene in which he’ll use water for forming an impervious wall as his defense, while healing himself. That’s why he often fights around watery area.
He can also spawns little minions which looks like shadowy human figures in order to fight for him or merely act as a distraction. Moreover, Oceanus also has the ability to summon sea monsters such as the mighty Scylla.
Now, moving on to his traits. Even though he seems to be relentless and has no mercy when fighting, he actually holds Chivalry up high. He doesn’t hesitate in changing side when he thinks that his commander is no longer serving a rightful purpose. This is seen when Oceanus finally learns that it is actually Kronos, who provoked the World War, instead of Deus which he had been having in his mind.

Every titan that I design into this project has two forms: One is the human form, which is very useful for one-on-one battle and easy interaction with the world, or the monstrous Titan form, which is used when he’s in a pinch, or when he wants to make some destruction and chaos. Oceanus’ Titan form would be a creature with a humanoid torso (similar to his human form), and abdomen of a crustacean (minus the pinchers, if you ask). He fights with a trident which he newly found beneath the seam, seemingly owned by Odin when he was still alive.

Well, that’s all for now. I’ll post another updates when possible. This is a holiday season, which means that I can continue my projects without any hindrance or bugs from school

Samsung Wave2... or Wave3?

You see, currently I have 3 mobile phones (I really don't mean to brag, but each of those phones really matter to me :p) Here are each of them: Samsung i9000 Galaxy S, BlackBerry 9800 Torch, and Nokia X2-00. To prove that each of them matters, here are the main purposes for each of this phone:

The Galaxy S is currently my primary phone, for I've been using it to browse the net, text, and email all my assignments -if not saving them in cloud, and it's been a lifesaver to me. Surely, I won't replace it easily with other Android smartphone. Must be worth it.
The BlackBerry is for... well, just chatting my friends and colleagues. BB is currently booming in Indonesia (and I guess it'll be for quite a long time) and somehow it has become a 'necessity'.
The X2 is mainly just for side phone. I think I've posted that my high school offers each of its student a free SIM card for a certain mobile operator. These SIMs can text and make calls to registered numbers for free (registered, means... all the same school students and parents) so I thought I could make some use of this offer... while it's still there.

At first, I planned to buy the unannounced Nokia Lumia series Windows Phone, since it seems to be affordable with reasonable price, although it impacts with the specs and performance. Many people say that the OS is still... "half-baked", but I believe that most of the limitations were fixed in its 7.5 update. The other reason is that Nokia here, is famous for its free navigation service, and powerful GPS detection (even my Galaxy S has its GPS chip useless when you use it inside a building; you'll be undetected if you're in a basement :p)

However, the plans got changed up and down last night, when I went to Galaxy Mall in Surabaya. There, I saw a device with elegant design, and really, really, affordable price (Rp1.990.000,00 if I wasn't mistaken) in a retail shop. Guess what? It's the Samsung Wave II S8530 (pictured in the left).

Seems familiar? Yeah, it uses Samsung's trademark TouchWiz3.0, just like its Galaxy Series phones. It's not Android, unfortunately. It's Samsung's own BADA OS. Applications aren't as many as iOS or Android, but for everyday tasks, like agenda, text, email, or internet surfing, I'd say that it's a monster.

It's specs is extremely similar to my SGS, with the A8 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB Internal Memory, and the 5MP shooter which is capable to record 30FPS-720p video. The main difference is probably the screen, the OS, LED Flash, and the all-metal elegant design. They're currently selling the Galaxy SL here for around Rp3.500.000,00 with the same specs, but for this phone, you get the exactly same monster at half the price.

What makes me rethink to purchase this phone, is the coming of its successor, the Samsung S8600 Wave3 (pictured left). The only noticeable upgrade is the faster 1.4GHz processor (still single-core, though), and an updated Bada OS v2.0 (the interface is awfully similar to the Galaxy SII). There's no official news about its launch in Indonesia, but it's been confirmed that it's coming. Recently, it has been launched in India, with a price of approximately Rp3.600.000,00 and that's a lot for me, although cheapest in its class...

Now, one considering point for me, is that Bada v2.0 will also come to older Wave devices, such as Wave I, Wave II, or the lower-end Wave 525 or 723, or 533, and although still unknown, will hopefully updated to 3.0 when it's released. Wave and Bada are Samsung's official properties, and all devices should be supported as long as possible (now Samsung is pretty generous for giving updates, unlike a few years ago with the Behold and Spica).

Another point... is that beside the Wave3, Samsung also released the new Wave M and Y, with a lower-clocked processor (832MHz). If it can hold Bada v2.0, why can't Wave II get it? Besides, new phones shouldn't get abandoned the moment after it's released, right?

P.S.: Example is RIM that abandoned the 9800 by releasing the all-powerful Dakota, Monza, or other OS7 devices. They really shouldn't release the 9800... why can't just move on with the newer smartphones? (No offense, just saying to myself...)

Yep, eitueitu.com is my class' WordPress-based blog which is a part of school assignment. Well, although it's formally an assignment, I'm somehow sure and certain that it will be active, and will turn out more than just an assignment. The author and editor team will sure fill the website with our exciting activities through this last year... and beyond.

Well, I've just bought a domain yesterday (roughly it costed 19.95U$/year). Honestly, that was the first time I've ever bought a domain, and I'm pretty satisfied by it. The support teams are pretty cooperative (although sometimes rather slow in responding to my chat), and very helpful. Thanks to them, I could make a purchase.

The domain that I registered was www.eitueitu.com. It's a website dedicated to my class (XII-Science2), and it's currently under construction by some designers in my class (some of them are listed here in my Channels). Well, let's hope it's going to be up soon!

I've got so many questions about this... and I think I'll give those support teams some serious blow :p

Oh, and please give us a visit when it's up, ok?

Man, indeed these months are really busy. I had quite a difficulty in keeping up with the last year in my high school. But... I guess I have a pretty good start. I know which major I'll literally jump myself into, and I know which university to choose. I know some people don't agree, but I have my commitment.

But I must say that this month is well... extraordinary. Not only because of my friends, and some exciting events, but also updates in many technological aspects. For example, I have this preview of the Windows Developer Preview, which is said to be the pre-beta stages of Windows8. Although they say that this version is unstable, I can say that I'm pretty satisfied so far. It's a little bit confusing, though...

The All-New Start Menu Interface

From the screenshot above, the start menu is similar to those in Windows Phone 7. No wonder, since Microsoft names it after the interface in their mobile OS, the Metro UI. I don't complain about the interface; it's nice, especially for touch devices and pretty comfortable to scroll with your mouse wheel.
Now, the downside. Remember how you can easily browse your installed programs from the start menu? You can do that by sliding to the end of the start menu (you can also drag your app 'tiles' anywhere for easier access). Unfortunately, I still can't find a way to access built-in apps like Paint, or even Notepad unless through Windows Search (you can do that by typing from Start Menu).

You can guess it. The main desktop GUI is really similar to Microsoft Office and Windows 7 combined altogether. It's beautiful, and easier to navigate, although I think it's pretty difficult to use at first.

Blogger (Updated Interface)

The New and Revamped Blogger GUI

Well, I don't know the exact date, but I know that recently, blogger.com has received quite a makeover in its interface. Now, it is faster, smoother, and more user-friendly. Dominated with white color, this is interface is really comfortable to use when you're editing your posts. Google allowed you to revert to the old interface, in case you don't like the new UI.

It's the best so far, and so much better that the first one, in my opinion...

I somehow really want to try this out!

Some of you might have known the all-new Social Networking site created by Google to match Twitter and Facebook. I've actually surprised that it has recently been released to the general public. Unfortunately, I still get the following error; indicating that I'm still underage. Well... I'm really disappointed that they still have the age restrictions on. I hope they'll lift it soon...
Now I've got to create a dummy account to test it :p

Well, I guess that's all I can deliver for now. I think I'll bring update about my projects soon. I don't know how long 'soon' is :p

Another Freedom, yay!

Again, I've been busy all these times that I can't even update my blog. I've had final test for the 11th grade in Senior High School, and today, I've finally regained my freedom. Although there are still chances that I'll have to redo them due to bad marks... :p

But, the bright side is, everything's over. It's been a year with my wonderful Science2 class. We were strangers (exceptions are for my 7 ex-classmates) last July, but now... Well, at least we've become much closer than before. Time flies so fast, huh... It feels like yesterday when I looked at my class list tacked on the announcement board.

Well, let's save the nostalgia for later. Lately, I've been working on setting up my new Windows Live account. The old one (if you knew, zgmf2000@live.com) has been suspended. Now, it's replaced with frozen_kronos@hotmail.com

Can't Believe It!

My God... I've just met a strange phenomenon.

Frankly said, I'm really impressed by the iPad2 and I'm willing to purchase one. I have even drawn up the financial plan for it. Besides, I'm trying to improve my mobility and productivity on the go, so I won't have to carry my heavy Dell laptop all the way around where I'm going, although I still prefer laptops to tablet computers.

So far, no Apple products have fascinated me to be honest. Here are the example:

iPod Classic, I don't really like its bulky design.
The iPod Shuffle, although cheap, it's way too small for me... and 2GB of storage will never be enough to contain my songs (I have at around 3GB of music collection, and I'm sure you guys have more than it ;) ).
iPhone4? Alright, its design is indeed revolutionary, I admit... but it's way too expensive here in Indonesia, and they still don't have the contract system like the one in the U.S. (Alright, one network managed to be the pioneer of this, but as expected... the rate is way too expensive, for me at the very least).
iPod Touch... Hm, alright... It's a great gaming device, but I've already had my Galaxy S (Codenamed Kronos) so I guess I won't need it. The same reason applies for the MacBook.
The old iPad: I feel like it's so heavy when I borrowed my friend's.

So, how come could I like iPad2? Well, it's not the cameras, but its thinner and lighter design than its predecessor. I heard it also has 9x better graphics than the current iPod Touch or its predecessor, and a dual-core A5 chip. I've tried the 1GHz single-core mobile processor, and I'd really more than glad to try the dual-core version.

But the problem is, the device is yet to come in here. Sure, there are some sites offering the pre-order, but the price has been skyrocketed. For example, one retail store set the 16GB, Wifi-only variant for Rp8,999,000! Isn't that crazy? If you converted that to USD, it would be more than U$1,000! (U$1 = Less than Rp9,000 now), apart from the original retail price of A$579 (around Rp5,2 million), or S$538 (around Rp3,7 million)).

Alright, I understand that the shipping will be expensive, but 30% is just too much. I compared it with Australia and Singapore, since they should have lower shipping fee than the U.S. The device itself is listed as "Currently Unavailable" in Singapore Apple Store site, but it's available for shipping in Australia. I think I'm going to get one from either one of those countries...

Background Changed...

Well, my second post today...

I've just changed the background for my blog. I know the Photoshop cut is very very rough, but for now... I guess I'll just have to make do with that. There are so many characters I've inputted into the poster, taking from many other characters such as Fate/Stay Night, Xenosaga series, Ar Tonelico, and various other independent artworks.

The background, like the previous one, is intended to be the cover for my project. The current one is for Project Apocalypse: The Second Voyage, which is the sequel to both the first part and the Alternation. I take the appearance of the characters based on the artworks I've found.

Well, I guess that's all for now. I'll post more when I have something to post. Got to keep this blog alive...

I'm Back...

Yea, it's really been for a long time since my last post, which was last year in December. I've been really busy with my school... With many assignments flooding, and tests... they really drive me crazy!

Anyway, I know that this blog still exists and perhaps I'll try to update it as frequently as possible. No promise, though... I'm currently in holiday, for Easter and the National Examination in my country. It's Heaven for us Tenth and Eleventh grader, but hell for the Twelfth grader...

Anyway, I wish you luck for all our seniors taking the examination!

The Revival of Artemis

I don't know why I did this, but I somehow had an urge to revive my good ol' Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. It's blue-colored and I like its pretty design with blue lining covering its sides, like a sapphire. Although the touchscreen is kind of old (still resistive, which needs a physical pressure to activate a command), I still like it for some reason I don't even know why. To your information, I had been using it for around a year before I decided to buy a Galaxy S.

So I started recovering it from my storage and found it still boxed inside. It's dusty, so I had to wipe it with a cloth. At first, I was kind of worried since I couldn't turn it on. I tried to charge it but it wouldn't charge. Heh, I finally figured out that the problem was caused by a broken jack...

Anyway, everything goes smoothly and I did a master reset to wipe every data I left behind, and restored its optimum performance. At first, I kind of feel... hard to operate the device, since I've been using capacitive for a while, but I don't think that a little pressure will make a difference that big. Alright, today I'll begin to update all the software, and perhaps fill it with additional maps. I'll use its GPS which is much more trustworthy than my SGS. Ovi Maps' quality is almost equal to Google Maps in my opinion... I'll also need its hi-fi quality stereo speakers.

Today, or a few minutes ago... I got an info from my friend (my cousin, actually...) about creating a free website easily. He also asked me if I wanted to help him maintaining the site. Well, I personally thought that it would be a good chance to finally learn about something in the holiday, something which won't stress you out (there's absolutely no test about this in my school, so I can stop whenever I want to)

I thought I'm going to give it a try, and possibly turning my attention to the new site. I won't be abandoning this blog, though. I'll try to update it, but I guess it's merely about ideas and other informations. I'll be moving my projects there. If you want to give it a try, you can go to Google Sites to try it out yourself. All you need is only a Google Account and you're ready to go. I'm still trying to tamper with it and perhaps I'm going to give a review later.

Project Xenophobia II

Ah, it's finally done... The concept of the characters. Unfortunately, since I'm not that good at drawing, I only provide the description of the characters. Well, I've been trying to draw people since I was a kid, but I never did good on any of them, especially the face and the eyes... -.- Well, have fun reading, and please provide some comments!

Oh, by the way, the names these characters use are merely coincidental, and there's no way for them to be deliberately used to mock someone else!

Characters

1. Odin Skye

A new and freshman member of Nova Special Forces, which consists of highly-trained commandos and war veterans. The members’ reputations are unquestionable; they always succeed at their missions, whether it’s direct warfare, assassinations, or even black ops.

Odin is a young Lieutenant in the N.A. (Novae Army) and has just been promoted to the N.S.F. He’s still 19, but he shows excellent skills in sharpshooting, and also a top-scorer in the army’s obstacle course scoreboard. He’s a pretty easygoing guy, although there are times in which he’s serious. His favorite gun is Vector’s AR25, which has minimum recoil, maximum damage, accuracy, and lightweight. He’s still single, by the way...

Odin’s first mission is a covert mission accompanied with normal N.A. soldiers-in-disguise to infiltrate Vector’s compound and seek the real and true evidence about their treachery. However, Vector and Zodiac’s intelligence is much more solid than theirs. Odin’s position is compromised, and he has to fight his way out of the compound, while he brings the most important package he has ever known...

2. Ciel Kreznova Vektor

A descendant of the Vector’s family bloodline. His father, is the current CEO of Vector, and leads the Boards of Directors, which controls everything happening inside the company. Ciel later becomes a defector, after she knows what her father is hiding behind the scenes of the world. As a deep insider of the dark company, Ciel knows almost everything which is happening in Vector and therefore, she’s an invaluable asset for the Federation of Terra Novae.

She met Odin while he’s being chased around by both Vector and Zodiac’s armed personnel. In fact, Ciel saved Odin by dragging him into a steel locker and hides him there while he was almost surrounded. She then immediately requests Odin to bring her to Odin’s leaders and superiors.

Ciel masters sword arts well, and she’s also a pretty good sharpshooter. After being transported to the Federation of Terra Novae, she decides to enlist herself as the member of N.A. She wants to put an end to his father’s terrible plan for the world.

3. Gen. George Howitzer

The leader of the Special Forces. He’s the one behind Odin’s promotion to the force. A brave and solid soldier, he knows no fear, and is truly dedicated and devoted to the Federation. He couldn’t stay still when he finds out that Vector is planning something not only for his beloved Federation, but also the whole world. Although he’s the leader of the force, he still acts as a field soldier, who belongs to the formidable Reaper team.

He’s not that old; in fact, he’s still in his thirties. He’s pretty good in quickly arranging a combat tactics while on the field. No one knows his surname, for Howitzer is his nickname, which matches his reputation as a feared soldier in the eyes of the enemy.

4. Alexei Vektor X

The tenth generation of Alexei Vektor, the original founder of Vector, a renowned arms-manufacturing company. He’s a sleek businessman who always dares to do anything in order to advance his company, no matter how evil and gruesome it is. He has two children, one is Ciel, while the other is Alexei Vektor XI, whom he has sworn to be the leader of Vekta, Vector’s military personnel, who is secretly aiding the Union with its battle.

Alexei has his own plan for the world. Secretly providing two sides with his weapons is merely the mask of his true plan. He, and his teams of researchers are currently developing some kind of an experimental WMD. It is not for sale, but in order for Vector to be the single leader of the world, exceeding the governments and unions around the world.

5. Alexei Vektor XI

An ambitious son in the Vektor family. He is promised with glory, and the leadership staff of Vector in the future. Although he’s pretty ambitious, he’s got a great amount of respect for his father, and therefore he’ll never betray him. As the direct descendant of an arms-manufacturing company founder, Alexei’s knowledge about weaponry is very formidable. He can even design and build his own weapons in seconds, using improvised materials.

Alexei is entrusted by his father to be the leader of Vekta, a military division of Vector, which consists of recruited freelancer soldiers, who are sworn to defend Vector until the end of their last breath. His title as the leader of Vekta, makes him a top-priority target for the Federation, while the Union keeps on protecting and providing him a shelter from the darkness.

Alexei’s survival instinct is also not to be underestimated. During Vekta Recruitment Training, he’s forced to camp out in a jungle full of monsters with a few men for about three days, without any supplies from Vector; they have to use their surroundings to survive. Alexei’s team is the only team that has all of its crews intact after three days. The others lost one, or all of its crews. He also excels at martial arts. Well, to be precisely said, he’s almost a one perfect soldier.

6. Premier Dragunov Shakovich

The president who also holds the highest position in the Union of Zodiac Islands. Dragunov is known for his tactics in employing various propaganda in his soldiers’ mind to increase his soldiers’ morale, which is often verbally transmitted through his officers and commanders. His propaganda often strikes fear into the hearts of the Federation’s soldiers. Dragunov also acts as the tactician and strategist to every battle the Union faces, along with his inner circles. He prefer to employ blitzkrieg tactics, although sometimes he uses the power-in-number tactics, and fiercely attacks a Federation main camp or stronghold using thousands of infantries, and hundreds of tanks.

Dragunov is a sleek man, he persuaded Vector to join his cause, while advising to keep on supporting Federation, and provides Dragunov with any intelligence he needs, mostly about the Federation’s arsenal. His wish is fulfilled by Vector. However in return, Vector asks for a private island in the Union’s territory, and let Vector secretly does anything with that island, without no one knowing, including the Premier himself. Dragunov is forced to agree, since he’s in a desperate needs of weapons. As a bonus, Vector also provides Vekta as combat support. However, Vekta only obeys Vector’s orders, which is approved from Dragunov’s order recommendation.

Sometimes Dragunov feels a little bit suspicious about Vector’s mysterious intention with its island gift, but since he’s an honorable man who keeps his promise, he lets that thought of suspicion go away.

7. President Jack Haezer

The president of Federation of Terra Novae. A true patriot and hero to everyone’s cause. He always hears the opinions of his fellow citizens and put that into consideration in his governance. A wise old man, with a golden bright aura around him.

As the president, Haezer has the authority to issue a command to every soldiers in the battlefield, and... since he’s a former high commander when he was in the N.A., he’s highly respected by his subordinates. All the officers and tacticians in the field merely serve as the president’s advisor and recon. He’s also the one who suggests that the Federation should recruit Vector as its primary arms provider, due to Vector’s formidable reputation thanks to its innovative products.

Although he’s the one who came up with the idea to persuade Vector to join his cause, Haezer doesn’t really trust the company. He couldn’t say that he hadn’t expected Vector’s betrayal when his personal intelligence agent in the field gave him some evidence in the form of several photographs. In response to this, Haezer immediately issued covert ops into Vector, and that’s where the story of Project Xenophobia begins...

8. Alexis Houston

An old friend of Odin and a renowned tactician of N.A. Both Odin and Alexis went into military academy at the same time, but they went to separate ways afterwards. Odin chose the Infantry Combat faculty, while Alexis chose the Art of War faculty. When she’s creating a tactic, she always considers the safety of her men, and tries to avoid unwanted sacrifices.

Alexis’ intelligence is matched by her beauty. She has an ideal body, along with smooth and silky blonde hair, and light blue eyes. Those characteristics are enough to turn her into an idol of the whole organization. However, she’s a master of martial arts, so people don’t dare to do anything strange to her…

It's finally over!

Yeah, this is the last day of the series of final tests in my school. You'll never know how it feels to gain freedom just like this. And now, with today as the conclusion of the final tests, I can get back to whatever I had been doing before the final test! Yeah, now I have more time to get back on my projects, blogs, and of course... My gaming session! Yay!!!

Project Xenophobia I

Alright, I've done three projects so far, but I have yet to tell you about them since I'm still too embarrassed to show that... Anyway, I guess I'm going to start off with the list of characters and the settings as well...

I give it the name Project Xenophobia since I'm planning to include extraterrestrial beings. I know that there are many other stories which use them as well but... Heck, it's still not confirmed yet. I may use mutants instead of aliens.

Theme:

Military, may be included with drama as well...

Setting:

The year 3125. Although sounds advanced, thanks to a particular "Great Apocalypse", humans have to start their life from scratch; it took nearly a thousand year for the human civilization to fully recover. Now, the recovery is done. The world is separated into two major powers (just like during the Cold War). One is the Union of Zodiac Islands (or UZI for short...) and the Federation of Terra-Novae (or FTN...). You might be able to tell which one is derived from USSR and which one from the Allies.

Characters:

The main hero will act as a Special Force Unit from the FTN, which has just been promoted and received his first mission; infiltrating a Vector Research Facility building. To be noted, Vector is a multinational corporation which controls more than half of the world's economy. They've been contracted by FTN to develop arms exclusively for the federation. However, FTN's Intelligence Agency found something startling regarding to Vector, and they decided to infiltrate it to see what's really going on inside Vector.
More characters coming soon... Since this is still a concept, it's still merely a rough sketch...

I want to ask you guys about some pics. I've always liked illustrations and artworks, especially those who look like paintings from the Middle Ages. I don't know why, but somehow I feel that they're magnificent... and very, artistic. I'm not an artist myself, but I've taken an interest in this kind of thing... Alright, here are the pictures:

Those are pictures in my favorite style. It uses mosaic and watercolor-like technique. For some of you, it might seem weird... Yeah, sometimes people ask me why I like those weird things... and I can't answer them! I sometimes also wonder why I like these things... But I finally noticed that there's nothing wrong with our hobbies, as long as it doesn't disturb our daily routines. Yeah, that's right...

Spare Time

In my school, we got one day off after two consecutive days of torture (aka Final Test). And, since Science-based subjects have all gone away, it now feels like Heaven. Well, it really feels good...

In my spare time, I either play PC games or just write some stories. Well, I've done 3 stories so far but they seem really, really cliche... Well, that's understandable since I sometimes put the wrong event at the wrong section... I've asked someone to review my story, and his comments were pretty acceptable... but he stopped midway. Dang... but at least I know for a bit what I did wrong. Well, I just have to think of another plot once again...

You know, I've already made a blog on Windows Live, but somehow I don't like the interface. I don't know, I just don't like it... Indeed it has an independent desktop editor program, but I just don't like it. I prefer Blogger more, so that's why I'm using it!

Anyway, I've been learning Photoshop all by myself for quite a while (or no... if learning from various forums isn't counted as self-learning), and I've taken an interest in coloring pics. My classmate has recently requested me to color his pic. Well, since I need refreshments from these ridiculous tests of madness, I guessed that receiving the offer wouldn't hurt.

Surprisingly, I've finished it in just two days! (I've just done it this morning...) I know it's a little bit blurry and messy, but I guess that's understandable, since I'm a mere beginner...

I only separated some parts of the picture into several layers, such as the pants, the hoodie, the hair, and the rainfall, and filled it with different colors. If you ask about the lighting effect, it's merely gradient colors, and somehow I managed to get it right. At first, the rainfall looked like shooting stars, even though I had colored them aqua blue... but heck, at that time, I had just found a lightning brush set, so I did some trial-and-error and Bingo! It looks a little more like raining, right?

Feel free to drop by and put in some comments! I'm an amateur myself, so I certainly won't know what's wrong with my works... (=.=')

Oh by the way, the original illustrator of the picture is Albert Theodore Pranoto, my classmate in XI-IA2, St. Louis 1, a Catholic Senior High School in Surabaya.

Just like usual, the first post...

To put it shortly, this should act as a journal for me to post my upcoming projects and other stuffs. You see, I often write things when I'm idle. I play games too at times, but when I'm bored with those games, I write things and that is... until a new game... or a new activity comes up. Let it be novels or short stories.

Oh, and one more thing: I don't write poems since I really can't understand how to make them...
